Company Overview
The Community Cancer Center is a non-profit, 501c3, incorporated in 1979. The corporation is named Community Cancer Foundation doing business as the Community Cancer Center (CCC). The foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. Our mission is to assist, encourage, promote and advance the best care, treatments and rehabilitation of persons afflicted with cancer or related medical conditions.
Company History
In 1979, a group of local citizens met and with the assistance of the community, incorporated and raised the funds to construct our first facility on Umpqua Street. The corporate name is the Community Cancer Foundation. We are a non-profit organization, doing business as the Community Cancer Center (CCC). To keep pace with other cancer centers, we opened our new 44,000 square foot, state of the art, comprehensive cancer facility in June 2009 at 2880 NW Stewart Parkway in Roseburg, Oregon.
In order to keep pace with the advancements in technology, the CCC purchased a new multi-million dollar linear accelerator called TrueBeam in 2015. It is faster, more precise and designed with patient comfort in mind. More treatment options are available due to the advancements of this new machine tackling even the most challenging cases. This new purchase allows the CCC to provide the best treatment options available right here in Douglas County.
The CCC was one of the first cancer centers in Oregon to be accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in 2002. This is one of the highest standard accrediting agencies specific to radiation oncology. The CCC values the importance of the highest quality of care and voluntarily goes through the accreditation process every three years.
