If you are applying as a current Department of Veteran Affairs employee, Please apply under announcement: CBTG-10240-11125771-21-MDB The Radiation Oncology Service Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist will perform CT treatment planning scan for treatment planning/tumor focalization, compensators and customized patient immobilization devices. Incumbent will be expected to give oversight, training and encouragement to lower graded therapists. Other duties will include, but not limited to the following: Schedules treatments to optimize accelerator times while maintaining flexibility for emergency cases. Performs quality control of treatment machines by taking recorded readings every morning prior to patient treatments using the dosimetry verification and record system for each energy level. Prepares required contrast materials that are to be used for treatment simulations. Operates CT simulator, provides reproducible patient treatment position set-ups that can be accurately used for daily treatments on the Linear Accelerator. Indicates on patients' skin with tattoos and or markings required to locate treatment area. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, Some evening and weekend coverage may be required depending on clinic needs. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
