The University of Kentucky is seeking a BC/BE physical medicine and rehabilitation physician for its Medical Director of Cancer Rehabilitation position at the NCI designated Markey Cancer Center (MCC). Join a growing multi-disciplinary oncology rehab practice seeing a variety of cancers and their sequelae including head & neck, breast, neuroendocrine, lung, urologic, gynecologic, lymphoma, sarcoma, and hematologic disorders. Position is also responsible for providing education to oncology faculty and staff about services available, developing rehab clinic growth pathways and screening protocols for the cancer center.
Candidates will provide outpatient clinical service at MCC including functional evaluations after inpatient rehab, pain, neuropathies, secondary musculoskeletal issues, amputee, return to work, and equipment needs prior to or after cancer treatment and inpatient hospital consults for cancer-related admissions to assist with discharge planning.
Procedures including chemo denervation injections, peripheral joint injections, EMG/NCS studies, ultrasound evaluations, and peripheral nerve blocks are also available.
