The ChristianaCare Hematology practice is currently looking for a part-time Registered Nurse. In this role you will provide nursing care and assume responsibility and accountability for telephone triage as well as administering chemotherapy in an outpatient setting.
Assess patient with collection of data in person or by telephone
Prioritize problems based on the patient's state reason for telephone call or visit, presenting signs/symptoms, patient risk factors and potential outcomes
Answer more than 30 calls daily
Assist physicians with patients in office including chemotherapy teaching
Monitoring lab results and scheduling blood products and/or iv iron as needed
Assist with Infusion area as needed
Requirements: BSN required or commitment to obtaining within three years from your date of hire. RN license or eligible for licensure in the state of Delaware. Two years of experience as a RN required. Experience working as a RN in hematology, bone marrow transplant, oncology and/or infusion nursing preferred. IV and chemotherapy certified preferred
