Performs diagnostic medical procedures for the neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. Prepares room and patient and assists radiologists in CT procedures. Able to operate sophisticated CAT Scan equipment. Performs CT biopsy procedures and practices sterile techniques. Knows pressure injector utilization, maintenance of injector and safety when giving contrast. Ensures proper charges are captured on a daily basis. Maintains equipment to avoid delays and repeated procedures. Trains staff as appropriate. Knowledge in ACR. Joint Commission and CA -RHB Radiation QA standards. In addition, will be required to perform radiographic procedures and other duties as assigned. Must be able to perform radiographic exams that include basic x-ray procedures, fluoroscopy procedures, portable x-ray machine procedures and c-arm use. Reports to the Director of Radiology. A.R.R.T. in CT within one year. Qualifications: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. Good verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively with other departments. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Able to operate sophisticated CAT Scan equipment.
2 years� experience preferred

California CRT and Fluoroscopy required
American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
A.R.R.T. in CT within one year
Venipuncture Certificate within one year
