Medical Dosimetrist Position Available James J. Peters Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Bronx, NYC, is seeking a full time Medical Dosimetrist to become a part of the interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals working in the Inpatient & Outpatient Radiation Oncology Service. The successful candidate will be a member of the radiation oncology team who has: an in-depth knowledge of high dose ionizing radiation; knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines as well as equipment; education and expertise necessary to independently generate radiation dose distributions as well as dose calculations in collaboration with medical physicists and radiation oncologists. The dosimetrist will participate in the patient simulations and set-up sessions and prepare treatment plans as per the prescription of the Radiation Oncologists. Experience with Eclipse treatment planning system, Aria, SRS/SBRT and RTOG protocols is preferred. The successful candidate must possess:
