Job Objective: Under the direction of the Radiation Oncology Manager, Chief Physicist, in cooperation of the Medical Director, the Medical Dosimetrist develops optimal treatment plans for cancer patients that maximize the dose to the tumor while minimizing dose to the surrounding normal organs. This is to occur in accordance with physicians' prescription and calculations for the accurate delivery of the prescribed treatment. The Dosimetrist also contributes to the continuity and quality of care, in particular assuring excellent communication among all sections of the department (physicians, nurses, therapists, and front office).
