TheRN Oncology Nurse Navigator is responsible for the coordination of newly diagnosedcancer patients, acting as a liaison between patients, families, community, andphysicians. Additionally, the RN Oncology Nurse Navigator is accountable forcoordinating care for patients as part of a multidisciplinary team ofphysicians, registered nurses and/or ancillary department personnel involved withcancer patients at Saddleback Medical Center. Furthermore, the position the RNOncology Nurse Navigator will provide cancer patients and families withinformation addressing their concerns, including but not limited to financial,social services, education, treatment options and access to clinical trials.
