Physician – Radiation Oncology, Davis Medical Center The WVU Cancer Institute and the WVU School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to practice in the WVU Cancer Network at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, WV. The WVU Cancer Institute is West Virginia’s premier cancer treatment center. Multidisciplinary medical teams use the latest cancer therapies to deliver the best possible treatment to patients in West Virginia and adjacent border states. We have an active clinical trials program, pharmaceutical studies, and emerging statewide clinical trials network. The Davis Medical Center Cancer Care Center’s Department of Radiation Oncology utilizes a newly installed Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, Siemens RS Somatom DefinitionAS CT/Simulator, Eclipse RTP system, and Varian ARIA Oncology Information System. Applicants must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (or foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited radiation oncology residency program, be board certified/board eligible in radiation oncology and possess a commitment to patient service. Candidates will be eligible for a faculty appointment consistent with their experience at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and will be members of the WVU Department of Radiation Oncology as well as eligible to join the WVU Cancer Institute. Davis Medical Center is an 80-bed acute care hospital located in Elkins, WV. The center provides acute inpatient, outpatient, surgery, emergency, and physician specialties to residents of surrounding areas.
