The NCI Designated UT Health San Antonio Mays MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, is actively seeking a Radiation Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, NCI Designated, multidisciplinary cancer care team located in the U.S.'s seventh largest city. The Cancer Center is an MD Anderson Network member, which means that while an independent, NCI Designated Cancer Center on its own, faculty have consultative access to MD Anderson faculty and opportunities to collaborate on clinical and translational research throughout the MD Anderson network.
We are seeking a candidate with strong clinical skills who wish to join a talented group of professionals who provide state of the art care in a robust multidisciplinary environment. The department has a healthy intradepartmental and interdepartmental team approach and patient-centric culture. The physician will have a vital role in the disease site of multidisciplinary care teams. The candidate will participate in department academic and educational activities, such as morning teaching conferences, morbidity and mortality conferences, weekly new patient conferences, and departmental and cancer center retreats. The many learners enhance the department's environment of inquisitiveness within the department, including medical students, medical residents, dosimetry students, physics Ph.D. candidates, Physics postdocs, and Doctor of Medical Physics students, so interest in informal teaching is imperative.
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and a strong interest in clinical investigation. Qualified candidates are required to be board-eligible or certified. Most of the clinical activities are performed at the Cancer Center. All faculty can teach in our educational programs, including the medical school, medical residency, dosimetry school, Doctor of Medical Physics program, Physics Ph.D., and Physics postdoc. We offer a generous salary and benefits package. Relocation assistance is also available.
Please submit applications, and any additional information, to Josh Asper, firstname.lastname@example.org.
