The Dattoli Cancer Center and Brachytherapy Research Institute, located in Sarasota Florida, is seeking a qualified Radiation Oncologist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly-experienced cancer care team. We are seeking a candidate who has interest in state-of-the-art radiation treatment approaches. DCC has a focus on prostate cancer, although it is expanding into other cancer sites especially Breast, Lung, and GI malignancies. Dattoli Cancer Center houses two Varian Linear Accelerators with advanced capabilities to deliver IGRT, 4D imaging with CBCT, Respiratory Gating, and Align RT using Eclipse, Aria, and MIM Maestro with advanced fusion capabilities (CT/MRI/US). SBRT available. Light-Speed Helical GE CT Scanner and 3D Color-Flow Power Doppler Ultrasounds are on-site.
Active Florida Medical License.
Experience in, or interest in, Brachytherapy and other minimally invasive procedures.
Experience in, or interest in, performing surgical biopsy procedures.
Ability and/or willingness in interpreting CT scans and advanced ultrasounds.
Between 10 and 20 years of experience.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with referring physicians and establishing a close rapport with patients and their family members.
