Position Summary: In conjunction with physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary disease site team, the Nurse Navigator is responsible for assisting in the guidance and coordination of services for oncology patients and their caregivers from diagnosis through survivorship or end-of-life care.This position is responsible for development and assimilation of appropriate cancer education materials for patients and their families as defined by the patientï¿½s physicians and the disease site team.

Minimum Education: BSN preferred.
Minimum Experience: Three or more years of oncology nursing or patient navigation experience preferred.Experience in patient education, planning, and management desired.Knowledge of the American College of Surgeons guidelines andNationally recognized oncology patient management and treatment guidelines (e.g. NCCN, ASCO, ONS, ACCC, etc).Proficient in review and analysis of medical records and other patient care information.Ability to contribute to success of multidisciplinary team concept.Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required.Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days.Oncology specialty certification preferred.
