The Physicist II provides and expert knowledge of radiation properties and treatment planning principles to advise dosimetrists and physicians on proper treatment planning techniques. Duties include:
Generates treatment plans for patient treatments as needed.
Seeks guidance from senior physicists when designing complex or non-standard treatment plans.
Understands and advises physicians and therapists on proper patient simulation setup and treatment delivery techniques.
Graduate degree in medical physics from an accredited program
Passed part I of ABR physics exam, actively seeking ABR board certification
3 years experience in radiation oncology physics
