The Manager of Radiation Oncology is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of the radiation therapy department to include clinical and performance improvement objectives. Responsible for ensuring all regulatory and quality guidelines are followed. The Manager will provide assistance and feedback regarding accountability for quality patient care, staff performance and evaluation, budget development and staff development.

Supervises and performs staff hiring, establishment of performance objectives and assessment to include coaching and corrective action.
Participates in the budgeting process and in budget monitoring/corrective action process to meet respective targets.
Assists with programmatic oversight of the radiation therapy services regarding business development and operations, quality oversight and clinical practice.
Participates in Community Outreach initiatives to include seminars, health fairs, cancer screenings, events of American Cancer Society, support groups and volunteer efforts.
Promotes and maintains open communication with staff through rounds and establishment of open door policy. Develops collegial relationships with medical faculty and attending physicians to support clinical outcomes, patient and provider satisfaction.
Oversees developmental opportunities for the clinical staff. Collaborates to develop and implement continuing education programs and services to meet identified needs.
Serves on committees and task forces to address organizational and clinical issues and represents the needs and goals of the organization on external committees.
Participates in the development of quality measurements and performance improvement plans to ensure appropriate clinical practice and quality outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in health field or equivalent combination of experience and Associates Degree.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in radiation therapy.
Certified Florida license as ARRT-T.
Minimum of three (3) years of management experience required; five (5) years preferred.
