The new physician will lead as the Chief of the Division a team of three other providers, consisting of one experienced Board Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist, one Board Certified Allergy-Immunologist, and one Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in a clinic-based, academic program with remarkable opportunities in teaching, research, and clinical pediatric pulmonology and allergy. If the candidate is seeking a non-leadership position, the same opportunity is available for a staff faculty pediatric pulmonologist. This position carries a faculty appointment with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. We are looking for a dynamic, growth-focused pediatric pulmonology leader of excellent clinical experience, proven academic interest, and great vision and creativity. Our program provides comprehensive pediatric pulmonology, allergy and immunology care coverage to over 300,000 children in a large, rural, multi-state area. Clinical pathology is exceptionally broad and our pediatric pulmonologists perform the full breadth of procedures of all levels of complexity. Patients with cystic fibrosis receive care by the Cystic Fibrosis Team based at UVa Children’s Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia who visit as a traveling clinic in Roanoke.
