REPORTS TO: System Chair, Department of Radiation Oncology, Beaumont Health
PURPOSE OF POSITIONS: We have two positions for 2020 at Beaumont. One is ideal for an experienced Radiation Oncologist interested in building a practice at a new out-patient center in SE Michigan. The second is ideal for an academically minded junior or mid-career Radiation Oncologist to develop an academic practice at one of our three major centers, Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn. Current volumes are over 80 patients per day on three linear accelerators. There is robust brachytherapy, radiosurgery, active clinical trials and resident support. Ideal candidates will have a strong publication record and drive for academic success. Interest in lung or breast/GYN is preferred but not necessary. Faculty members are accountable for carrying out clinical duties in a manner to enhance high-quality clinical services, promote excellence in education and training programs and demonstrate stewardship in each of Beaumont’s pillars of excellence – Quality & Patient Safety, Service, Financial Performance, People, Growth and Academic Mission.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide expert patient care at one or more Beaumont Health facilities and grows program to expand the scope of radiation oncologic care, hence increase patient volumes, 2. Develop a research program, or strongly supports programs already in place, 3. Instruct residents and/or rotating students.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE • M.D. or D.O. with Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology, and 3+ years of attending-level experience. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, a persuasive communicator who is empathetic, and a respectful listener who can create an atmosphere that allows individuals to flourish within the context of the department.

ANNUAL REVIEW • Each faculty member will undergo an annual performance review by the Chair of Radiation Oncology with significant input from the Clinical Director. Competitive salary and benefit package.
