The Saint Barnabas Medical Center, an affiliate of the RWJ Barnabas Health System (RWJBH), is seeking a physicist to join our medical physics team. The successful candidate will join two other physicists in providing clinical physics services.
The spectrum of radiotherapy procedures includes: IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, SRS and SBRT, HDR rachytherapy applications, and other procedures such as Sir-Sphere, Xofigo, Lutathera, etc.
Equipment includes Halcyon, Truebeam, Elekta infinity with Agility MLC, Cyberknife M6, and Microselectron. Treatment planning systems include Eclipse, Pinnacle, Oncentra and Multiplan (scheduled to be upgraded to precision with VOLO in 2019); EMR includes Mosaiq and Aria.
Besides clinical responsibilities, the physicist will actively contribute to the educational and research programs of the department.
A Ph.D. /M.S. in medical physics, physics or related fields is required.
Experience with conformal radiotherapy, 3-D and IMRT treatment planning systems, and high dose rate brachytherapy is required.
Knowledge of Linac operations and functions, knowledge of various special procedures (external beam and brachytherapy) is also required.
Experience with Eclipse and Cyberknife planning is preferred.
Clinical experiences and/or completion of a CAMPEP accredited residency program desired.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and clinical experiences are the prerequisites for the position required.
