The Department of Radiation Oncology at the VagelosCollege of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University Irving Medical Center invites applications for an experienced, board-certified clinical faculty member to join our dynamic faculty team at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Washington Heights, NYC. The department also staffs our two regional facilities in Westchester: Lawrence Hospital, in Bronxville (an affluent village about 20-minutes from Manhattan) and Hudson Valley Hospital in beautiful Cortlandt Manor, New York.
Successful candidates should have strong clinical qualifications and experience treating multiple disease sites. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to patient care in the areas of Breast, CNS, Lung, GYN, GI, GU, Peds, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), teaching (medical students, residents, and fellows) and research.
A track record in clinical and/or translational research is desired along with an interest in residency and medical student education. The Department strives to develop future leaders in radiation oncology with medical and physics residency programs and a wealth of research resources, fostering collaboration with internationally renowned radiobiologists in the Center for Radiological Research (CRR) and scientists in the Mailman School of Public Health, a preeminent school and one of the largest recipients for sponsored research pertaining to public health.
The Department is a member of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with over $33 million in funding from the NIH, and with a dynamic new chairperson, internationally recognized for her clinical trial and outcomes research, we are looking for motivated leaders to participate in growing our academic mission.
