The Department of Radiation Oncology, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Seidman Cancer Center, is rapidly expanding and recruiting for full-time clinical faculty, MD (+/- PhD), to provide services in Northeast Ohio.
Most notably, we are seeking a Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at the Seidman Cancer Center/Firelands Medical Center in Sandusky Ohio (approximately one hour west of downtown Cleveland). Our beautiful, hospital-based cancer center facility in Sandusky has had recent upgrades, including a newly commissioned Elekta VersaHD Linear Accelerator.
We are seeking one or more experienced Board Eligible/Board Certified Radiation Oncologists who support our mission: To Heal, To Teach, To Discover, and are committed to high quality radiation oncology practice and continued growth and expansion of our services. Significant experience with IMRT and IGRT for all the major disease types is necessary. The successful candidate(s) will also be expected to have experience with and commitment to clinical trials research, particularly in the form of RTOG/NRG trials, and to qualify for a clinical faculty appointment (Clinical Assistant Professor or above) at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Our faculty positions offer the unique opportunity to participate in an exceptionally intellectually stimulating Group Practice, while providing superbly high quality radiation oncology care to patients in their home community. The physical facilities and technology available are first-rate, and the staff and collaborating medical and surgical oncologists and staff are outstanding.
Our community centers are fully integrated with the Department and with the Seidman Cancer Center, both critical components of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the most highly rated of the nation's 49 NCI designated comprehensive cancer centers.
A competitive package of compensation, benefits, and paid-time-off including CME/meeting time is available, with exact details dependent upon the experience and qualification of the successful applicant(s). Newly graduated residents/fellows from high quality programs are encouraged to apply as well as experienced ABR board certified radiation oncologists.
The University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is committed to Equal Opportunity and Diversity. Women, veterans, members of underrepresented minority groups, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply. The institution provides reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities.
