The Mary Hillman-Jennings Department of Radiation Oncology at UPMC Shadyside seeks board certified/eligible Radiation Oncologists at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level to join our growing & innovative practice. The successful candidate will lead a disease-specific program with protected time for academic pursuits including basic science, translational or outcomes-based research. We are a committed group of clinicians and physician-scientists with a tradition of innovative research ranging from SRS/SBRT, functional imaging-based treatment planning and outcome, clinical pathways development and implementation, radiation protection and biomodulation as well as health disparities research. Our premier radiosurgery program is amongst the best in the world with over a dozen investigator-initiated trials & numerous cooperative groups & NCI-funded trials helping to defining the role of SRS/SBRT in the immunotherapy era and beyond. Our radiosurgical platforms include the Varian Trilogy, Cyberknife M6®, Truebeam STX with BrainLAB Novalis Radiosurgery, Halcyon and ExacTrac®. Advanced imaging including PET-CT, 4D PET-CT are hallmarks of our strong functional imaging program within the department.
Access to the extended network of over 30 radiation oncology national and international centers, >50 medical oncology offices, strengthens our access to patients for investigator-initiated, industry and NCI-sponsored clinical trials. Our ACGME-accredited residency program has been recognized with numerous accolades, oral & poster presentation and travel awards to our residents.
