The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital seeks to recruit a radiation oncologist, with flexibility for a full-time or part-time schedule, to join its physician practice at a progressive, innovative, full service 100-bed general community hospital in a beautiful southern New Hampshire town, an hour from Boston. As an integral member of Mass General Cancer Services, the Radiation Oncology Department is equipped with a new Varian TrueBeam with integrated imaging capabilities, a GE Light Speed Advantage CT Simulator, and Varian Eclipse Treatment Planning. Presently, 25-30 patients are treated per day. The practice has RNs, radiation therapists, a dosimetrist, physicists, and administrative support staff.
The qualified individual will have strong connections to and enjoy opportunities for collaborative work with members of the MGH Department based in Boston. Candidates should have an MD degree, training in Radiation Oncology and be Board certified or Board eligible in Radiation Oncology. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplinary team are essential qualities.
