Physician must possess a strong clinical background as he or she will provide outpatient clinical care for the general care and expansive treatment of diverse patient needs. The Physician works collaboratively and cooperatively with peer providers, and within the organization, including the Physicist, Radiation Therapist, and Dosimetrist. Responsibilities include compassionate, appropriate, and effective care while ensuring thorough patient evaluations, customized treatment planning, and oversight of the treatment process.
In addition to fulfilling all requirements as detailed in the Employment Contract, Physician ensures all visits are accurately charted, dictated, and properly coded. There will be participation in utilization and quality activities within practice setting as well as in activities affecting the ambulatory care network as a whole. Follows organization policies and procedures and protocols.
Physician participates as directed in network quality improvement projects/pilots and agrees to follow its protocols and directives. This also includes operational and business related functions/tools at the practice. The successful candidate will represent the organization in the local and broader community, participating in educational and other medically oriented programs for the public and patients.
Education/Skills: Medical School graduate with a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an approved medical school, or possession of Standard Certificates as issued by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Possesses an active, unrestricted medical license in the state(s) of practice as issued by the medical licensing authority of that state. Maintains all relevant licensure commensurate with his/her professional responsibilities.
