The physicians of Willis-Knighton Radiation Oncology in Shreveport, LA are looking for a candidate to join their practice. The employed position will be for general radiation oncology with an opportunity for thoracic sub-specialization. The group of five physicians are offering an opportunity to practice medicine in a progressive stable environment with excellent administrative support and established referrals. The group maintains faculty and teaching positions with the neighboring medical school.
Our dually-accredited department treats a large volume of patients and is equipped with the finest technology available. The department has a CT simulator, MRI-only simulator, and a PET/CT scan. Two Linear accelerators and a TomoTherapy unit are complimented by a nationally recognized brachytherapy service with its own dedicated compact CT scan. The department houses the world’s first compact pencil beam scanning proton therapy unit.
Willis-Knighton Radiation Oncology has a large physics and dosimetry group and is a participant in a very large medical physics residency program. Six registered nurses and two physician assistants are available to assist with patient care.
