Geisinger is seeking two Pediatric Hospitalists to join our current group at the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville, PA Successful applicants will be joining a well-established group which has been managing children with a wide range of complexity for nearly 20 years. All patients are admitted to our resident supported teaching service. All providers are actively engaged in teaching both our pediatric residents as well as medical students from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Academic faculty status is available. The service is responsible for the care of pediatric patients admitted to the general Medical/Surgical units and for occasional Emergency Department consultations. There are no newborn nursery responsibilities. Call responsibilities are shared among all members of the group. Overnight in-house call is not required as there is 24-hour support from resident staff and PICU faculty if emergencies arise.
