The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital seeks to recruit a full-time radiation oncologist to serve as Medical Director at its practice located at Cooley-Dickinson Hospital, a progressive, full service MGH-affiliate community hospital in beautiful Western Massachusetts, an hour and a half from Boston. The Radiation Oncology Department, an integral part of the comprehensive Mass General Cancer Center, is equipped with an Elekta Synergy S with integrated imaging capabilities, a GE CT Simulator, and Raystation Treatment Planning. The practice has RNs, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, a physicist, and administrative support staff. Presently, approximately 25-30 patients are treated per day.
The qualified individual will have strong connections to and enjoy opportunities for collaborative work with members of the MGH Department based in Boston. Candidates should have an MD degree, training in Radiation Oncology and Board certification in Radiation Oncology. At least two years’ experience as an attending radiation oncologist required. Experience with treating Head & Neck cancers is particularly desirable.
