Practice description: Radiation Oncology Associates, Ltd. is private practice group of 17 physicians serving 14 different radiation therapy departments in eastern Wisconsin. The group, formed in 1975, is a large and stable group that offers partnership track and democratic governance. The group fosters equality and cooperation among its members to provide the highest level of service to the departments that we serve. ROA's management style fosters cooperation among physicians to serve their departments and their patients. We work as a cooperative whole, rather than competing individuals.
Radiation Oncology Associates has a successful track record of providing strong medical leadership to radiation oncology departments. We work cooperatively with institutions to improve radiation oncology services and thereby increase patient census. We coordinate with other medical specialists to fortify the oncology service line. We apply routine and specialized procedure skills to the treatment of our cancer patients. We pursue the acquisition of new techniques shown to be clinically efficacious. We actively participate in clinical research.
Opportunity: We are currently recruiting for our Northern circuit, centered around Green Bay. We are seeking to add a fourth physician to that coverage area. Collectively, physicians in this circuit see nearly 800 patients annually. All departments are equipped with Varian TruBeam accelerators and wide bore CT sim. Green Bay has HDR brachytherapy, LDR prostate seed implant, and an active SRS and SBRT radiosurgery program. They are currently participating in trials for IORT for breast cancer and they actively enroll patients to NGR trials.
Green Bay is most notably the home of the Packers. Green Bay and the Fox Valley is primarily a manufacturing area with a thriving economy with a population approaching 1 million. The area was listed as one of the most “financially fit” metropolitan areas in the US among similar sized communities. The public school systems are rated highly, and achieve test scores that regularly outperform the national averages. The area is rich in natural resources with opportunities for all types of outdoor activities. But in the fall, you’d best be prepared to wear green and gold.
Under our staffing model, you are assigned to primary sites. Some travel and cross coverage of other departments is required, but all within a limited geographic region.
