The Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner/APRN) is an integral part of a multidisciplinary disease team providing specialized care to a population of patients with cancer. The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the attending Radiation Oncologists, and assists with the evaluation, management, and follow up for patients receiving radiation therapy as part of their cancer care. Further, the APP assists the Attending Radiation Oncologist with coordination of care with other members of the cancer center's disease teams including medical oncology, surgical oncology, and supportive services.
