The Medical University, College of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a full-time physician to work at one of its satellite facilities in Orangeburg, SC. The physician would carry a faculty rank based on experience and would have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, resident education and multidisciplinary patient care. Whereas the primary role is the medical directorship of the satellite location, the physician would be integrated into the overall program at the Medical University of South Carolina. The Hollings Cancer Center of MUSC is a National Cancer Institute designated cancer center. The Department has the most modern equipment and treatment planning software available including the TrueBeam, a GammaKnife, and a Tomotherapy unit. The satellite center is a fully independent center with 2 linear accelerators, a CT simulator and an Eclipse treatment planning system. The Department supports an ACGME accredited residency program for physicians and a CAMPEP accredited residency program for physicists.
