REQUIRED - At least 3 years of recent RN experience in Hematology/Oncology - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN or BSN and MS in related discipline) - Possession of a valid California Registered Nurse license - Hold an Oncology Nursing Society Certification (OCN, AOCN, AOCNS, AOCNP) - Must be able to complete the UCDMC Medication Exam, I.V. Certification - CPR Certification
PREFERRED - Clinical Nurse Specialist or educator role experience - Current ACLS - ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy /Biotherapy Certification - Prior experience with development and/or coordination of a quality assurance program - Prior experience with clinical trials - Possess skills, knowledge, and ability to synthesize and analyze data while applying nursing principles at an advanced level for oncology patients

As one of the departments under Network and Affiliates, the incumbent under the Manager of the Cancer Care Network will collaborate with external and internal constituents in accordance with the professional standards of the discipline, applicable regulatory requirements and business objectives of the organization to further enhance the CCN program and future affiliated programs with community providers. The role of this position is to assure the delivery of quality oncology nursing care through education and consultation to oncology staff to the community cancer network sites. The role collaborates with multiple disciplines, sharing the most current knowledge and utilizing sound research for the planning and coordination of nursing care and quality assurance for cancer patients. The individual will be an expert resource for health care providers including nurses, residents, and other ancillary staff. S/he will engage, evaluate, and advance care processes and delivery through direct engagement, quality improvement projects, and analysis and return on investment on educational series. The incumbent will maintain the above upholding the standards of care reflective of UC Davis Health.
