Western Radiation Oncology seeks a Radiation Oncologist for a new center approximately one hour from metro Los Angeles in San Bernardino County.
Western Radiation Oncology (WRO) is a well-established single specialty private practice group founded in 1968. WRO has thrived through the years with practices within outpatient departments of large multi-campus hospital systems, independent community hospitals, free standing centers and ambulatory surgery centers. WRO and its affiliated practices have served communities in the San Francisco Bay area and Southern California locations including in San Bernardino county.
Due to continued practice growth of programs in San Bernardino County, WRO has expanded to a newly built comprehensive center.
The new Radiation Oncologist will benefit from extensive pre-existing relationships within the medical community. The modern department features new machinery throughout, including a Varian True Beam architecture LINAC (VitalBeam) with full VMAT, SBRT and motion management/gating capabilities, Siemens CT Simulator and LDR Brachytherapy program. The new physician will be able to draw on the expertise of the larger groups' experience in all modalities of radiation therapy.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional relationship building skills with referring physicians and the ability to provide leadership to the center as a whole. A strong foundational knowledge and experience in 3D and IMRT/VMAT for all major disease sites is expected. SBRT and brachytherapy experience is desirable with an understanding that a support system will be in place to assist with these modalities. ABR Board Certified / Board Eligible status and a medical license in the state of California are required.
