Description
The Department of Radiation Oncology, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking applicants for a Radiation Oncologist. This faculty position will provide clinical services at the UT Health San Antonio Mays Cancer Center, including traditional external beam treatments and special radiation procedures (i.e., high-dose rate brachytherapy); participate in the teaching of medical students and residents; initiate clinical and/or basic science research projects; and participate in university and public service. Faculty rank and tenure status will be determined based on the qualification of the final candidate.
UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center, located in San Antonio, TX and near the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, is an NCI Designated Cancer Center with over a 40-year tradition of excellence in development of new cancer therapies, understanding cancer biology, and decreasing the burden of cancer in San Antonio and South Texas.
Requirements
The qualified candidate will hold an M.D. or equivalent degree and is required to be board-eligible or certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. Emphasis is placed on candidates with the skillset to work in multidisciplinary clinical care teams, collaborate with teams of laboratory and/or clinical investigators, and contribute academic/teaching prowess to Mays Cancer Center and the institution. Faculty rank and tenure status will be determined on the qualification of the final candidate.
