- Private Practice Radiation Oncologist in Massachusetts

We are seeking a 6th full time radiation oncologist on a partnership track in a growing single location private practice in Western Massachusetts.
Pioneer Valley Radiation Oncology is a single specialty private practice with an exclusive contract to provide radiation services to the largest health care system in the region. Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts services close to 1,000,000 people. The hospital system includes four hospitals in addition to the main institution. ACRO accredited Radiation Oncology services are offered only at the D’Amour Baystate Regional Cancer Center which is located in Springfield, several blocks from the hospital. All of our physicians have academic appointments with UMass-Chan Medical School.
The Cancer Center provides a shared clinic space with a growing Medical Oncology group. Radiation Oncology encompasses the majority of the first floor with a dedicated large bore Siemens CT simulator, 4 Elekta linear accelerators (2 Infinity with Align RT, 2 Versa HD), Nucletron afterloader HDR brachytherapy suite with dedicated CT scanner and on-site anesthesia. Systems include Mosaiq, Monaco, Oncentra, MIM auto contouring with AI, automated planning with LumonusAI and Adaptiiv 3D printing on site. Staffing consists of 4+ physicists, 3+ dosimetrists, 4 nurses, 19 therapists, medical assistants and 4 administrative assistants. Over 1,300 consults are performed annually with a wide range of diagnoses and strong specialty support.
Our group participates in seven weekly multidisciplinary tumor boards, chart rounds, operational meetings and staff meetings. We are very data driven and each radiation oncologist assumes the role of a lead in specific disease sites and is responsible for attending that tumor board as well as leading the program to change any paradigms or processes associated with that disease.

Baystate is located in Springfield, Massachusetts approximately 90 minutes West of Boston and only 3 hours Northeast of New York City. Requirements
- American Board of Radiology Board Certification or Board Eligible
- Experience with IMRT, SRS/SRT, SBRT, HDR brachytherapy
