MOBILE, ALABAMA (USA). The Department of Radiology at the Whiddon College of Medicine, University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile Alabama is currently recruiting for Interventional Radiology. The Division of Interventional Radiology serves USA Health University Hospital, USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital, USA Providence Hospital and the USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute. The three hospitals are licensed for over 700 beds combined and include a Level I trauma center.
The successful candidate must have fellowship training in IR and must be Board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. A license to practice medicine in Alabama is required.
Responsibilities include clinical coverage of the angiography/interventional radiology service, instruction of medical students and residents in diagnostic radiology, angiography and interventional radiology, and the pursuit of academic interests and research. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience. We perform all aspects of IR including spinal augmentation, women’s health, hepatobiliary disease, trauma, dialysis access maintenance, vascular disease and interventional oncology. We have just started a histotripsy program for liver tumors.
We offer an outstanding compensation package. Salaries start at $525,000 and benefits include a 401K program with approximately 5% salary match, relocation allowance, 39 days of PTO, free tuition for continuing study at the University of South Alabama and 50% college tuition for spouse and dependent children. USA Health participates in the public service student loan forgiveness program. We have the ability to sponsor j1 and H1b visas.
