Faculty Recruitment – Department of Radiation Oncology
Moffitt Cancer Center
The Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center is actively recruiting for multiple Radiation Oncology faculty positions. We have an immediate opening for a Radiation Oncologist with a focus on Head and Neck cancers. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise and/or strong interest in the management of Head and Neck cancer patients.
Additional open positions include:
Radiation Oncologist
Clinical Instructor ( 1 year assignment with the potential option of extension)
Qualified applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology, and may be considered for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, or as Clinical Instructor, depending on experience and qualifications. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to clinical service, research, and education.
The department currently includes:
Over 30 Radiation Oncologists
30 Medical Physicists
We support a robust training environment with:
10 Radiation Oncology residents
4 Medical Physics residents
6 Dosimetry Program students
Moffitt offers a wide array of state-of-the-art technology and resources, including:
Proton Therapy Center (Speros campus opening May 2026)
MR-Linac and ETHOS for adaptive radiotherapy
SBRT/SRS/ IGRT/SGT -capable LINACs
New, dedicated HDR Brachytherapy Suite
The Department of Radiation Oncology spans the main campus and four satellite locations in Tampa and the greater Tampa area, including the 775-acre Speros Biotech/Research and Outpatient Cancer Center site, which is set to open in January 2026. Selected candidates will serve at the Moffitt campuses , including the Proton Therapy Center.
