This position will provide clinical services to radiation therapy patients at the Merced Cancer Center and will function as a radiation oncologist adhering to UCDMC's credentialing guidelines, medical staff bylaws, medical staff privilege requirements, and billing guidelines. Patient care services provided include radiation therapy external beam, participation in weekly chart rounds and quality assurance conferences via telecommunication. During the day, physicians will see patients in the office and evaluate, initiate, and provide on-going therapy for patients. On average, they may see 10-30 patients per day (new consults, follow-ups, and status checks). Physician will admit and follow patients in the hospital when the need arises and answer any phone calls from patients and physicians after hours. The Cancer Center will be open from 8:00-5:00, and physician or a colleague will be present on-site whenever patients are present for treatment. When seeing patients, oversee the work of clinical staff (dosimetry, nurses, and therapy).

The Radiation Oncology Department is located in the NCI-designated Davis Cancer Center. The department has full-member status with the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and an ACGME accredited residency training program
