The Department of Radiation Oncology at Albany Medical College is seeking a trained radiation oncologist interested in academic medicine. The successful candidate will be board certified or eligible in Radiation Oncology, and eligible for appointment at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level. Candidates with excellent training in the care of cancer patients, and an interest in head and neck cancers are preferred.
Albany Medical College is one of the nation’s oldest medical schools, and the only academic tertiary and quaternary care hospital in the Capital District region of New York. We have a strongly collegial atmosphere, with weekly prospective tumor boards in head/neck, urologic, breast, thoracic, sarcoma, pediatric, pediatric CNS, and adult CNS malignancies, most on a weekly basis. The hospital has a referral base of 2.5 million people, and it receives 12,000 or more transfers annually.
