We are a well established, self owned radiation oncology practice looking to add a BC/BE radiation oncologist to our group. We are looking for someone who wants to make a long term commitment to this community with partnership/ownership opportunity after 2 years. We are based at an American College of Surgeons accredited cancer program and see 450-500 consults a year. We treat an average of 40-45 patients a day, and use all modalities of therapy including IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, superficial x-rays, radiopharmaceuticals and electronic brachytherapy. We see a wide variety of adult cases, with 2 academic referral centers within 100 miles for difficult cases. We have privileges at all the local hospitals.
This practice offers an excellent lifestyle opportunity with very regular hours, modest cost of living for housing and utilities, short commutes and no traffic woes. Or you could choose a more rural lifestyle less than 20-30 minutes away from the office. We take our own call but are called in on nights and weekends only rarely. We are not a satellite of some larger group, and there is no travel to outside clinics. We are managed by a professional billing service that handles billing, collections, taxes, credentialing, expense reports and salaries. We employ an ARNP to handle a lot of the "busywork" of medical practice, allowing the physicians to concentrate on patient care and the actual practice of radiation oncology. The hospital provides all the staff, the electronic health record and all the equipment. We have a full-time PhD physicist on-site as well as board certified therapists and dosimetrists.
This is a full time position, although the position could be tailored to something less than full time for the right candidate. Benefits include generous vacation allowance, health insurance, corporate payment of licensing, med-mal insurance, ASTRO and ACR dues and expense reimbursement for allowable practice expenses. Candidates must be board certified within 2 years of joining the group and must maintain active board certification.
Board certified/board eligible in Radiation Oncology - must be board certified within 2 years of employment
Unrestricted Iowa license - we can help you get this
Additional Salary Information: Would be salaried first 2 years, then have the opportunity to buy in as a full partner
Internal Number: 01222018
