The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital seeks to recruit a radiation oncologist to lead its Lymphoma/Hematologic Malignancies Service at its bustling main campus location in Boston. The Radiation Oncology Department, an integral part of the comprehensive Mass General Cancer Center, is equipped with Elekta and Varian linear accelerators with integrated imaging capabilities, proton cyclotron with 3 treatment rooms, GE CT Simulators, and Raystation, Astroid, and pXio Treatment Planning systems. The department, including our community-based locations, treats over 400 patients per day. The department is fully supported by a talented team of radiation therapists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and administrative support staff. Presently, approximately 72 lymphoma patients are treated per year on our Boston campus.
The qualified individual will have strong connections to and enjoy opportunities for collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical, research, and other academic work with colleagues in the Department and throughout the hospital. Candidates should have an MD degree, training in Radiation Oncology and be Board certified or Board eligible in Radiation Oncology. Experience with treating lymphoma patients is preferred.
