Exciting opportunity available for a well-trained radiation oncologist to offer high-quality care in a community setting and experience a good quality of life at the same time.
Our Radiation Oncology group is seeking a board certified or board eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our practice. This is an employed full-time position with a single site for treating adult patients. The department houses a 4D PET-CT simulator and 2 linear accelerators (Tomotherapy and Varian True Beam STX) offering 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT. We use Eclipse and Tomotherapy planning systems. Our EMR is ARIA.
The ideal candidate will be team oriented, patient-centered as well as quality and safety focused. Experience with IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT is required. Experience with radioactive Iodine and Strontium is desired. Participation in weekly peer review and tumor conferences is expected. The position is open to candidates with all levels of experience. New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
The Community Cancer Center, a joint venture between Advocate BroMenn Healthcare and OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, is an outpatient cancer treatment center that has served McLean County and six surrounding counties in Central Illinois since 1999.
We have 1.5 radiation oncologists, 1 physicist, 1 dosimetrist, 5.5 radiation therapists, 0.5 CT technologist, 1 nuclear medicine technologist, and 3 nurses. We have a full complement of support services - social worker, nutritionist, genetics counselor, breast health navigator, and chaplain. Our grounds, which include a butterfly garden and labyrinth, are an integral part of the healing experience.

Bloomington-Normal, Illinois has been rated as one of the top 100 best places to live in America, has excellent schools and is home base for State Farm Insurance Company. This community has two four-year universities, is located at the convergence of I-55, I-74, and I-39 and is a 2hr drive from Chicago and within 3hrs from St. Louis and Indianapolis. The local airport has direct flights to Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, and Orlando among other cities, allowing connections to other domestic and international locations.
Experience with IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT required. Experience with Radioactive Iodine, Strontium desired. Illinois State license. We do not treat pediatric patients. We also do not offer brachytherapy.
