Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine is actively seeking a qualified individual to join the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Candidates should be excellent clinicians and board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The position comes with opportunity to combine clinical work, research, and education in an academic Department of Pediatrics. The clinical responsibilities will include an emphasis on benign hematology and management of sickle cell disease in children and adolescents, will involve both inpatient and outpatient care, and a wide variety of childhood hematologic conditions.
The Department of Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center dedicates its service to children, adolescents and young adults in urban communities. The majority of families seen in the hospital come from underserved racial ethnic minority populations and resources are largely directed at serving low-income families, immigrants, and the homeless. Thirty percent of patients do not speak English as a primar...y language, and many face challenging deterrents to healthy development associated with poverty and socioeconomic stress.
